Friends, the county planning department is very busy. Not only with the Local Coastal Plan (LCP) but with the proposed Vacation Rental Ordinance for the coastal zone. The VR Ordinance will not be developed until the LCP has been certified.
The term “VR” – vacation rental will be used interchangeably with “STVR” – short term vacation rental or “STR” – short-term rental. Many counties use the term STVR and the recent court of appeals – Ventura – in the Santa Barbara case used it as well.
