This Blog post is the first of many posts discussing Sonoma County’s update of their Vacation Rental rules for homes inland, and later in 2023 in the Coastal Zone. Dozens of public meetings were held these last few years to develop the updated county ordinances for VR regulation.

The LCP does not become effective until certified by the California Coastal Commission. Before the LCP goes to the Commission, the county Planning Commission and SoCo Board of Supervisors will have hearings on the plan where public input can be made.
